I have (for one more day!) an older F30 335i M Sport - one of the first in the country back in summer of 2012. IMHO its as close to an "M335i" as you can get if they made one. I wanted a 4 door M3 at the time but production had stopped the year before. I did OEM M Perf. everything with this car: M405 wheels, red BBK, the factory tune / intake (really woke the car up), MPE (sounds great!), black grills, front lip and rear spoiler. I did leave the M adaptive suspension stock. For a factory car which was under full warranty until this week - it has been a beast. I get compliments on the car all the time. I think I could have re-badged it and felt justified but I didn't. See my signature for what I am doing instead of a re-badge . To each his own I guess.

You're not modding your car. You're slapping badges on it and pretending it's something it's not. If you do the actual performance modifications (drivetrain, suspension, etc) to get the performance of an M car, you might as well have bought an actual M as the cost of modding a standard series is greater than the cost of an M - especially a used M. Yeah, I knew lots of people that rebadged cars to something they're not - in highschool. Edit: Also the color on your car is gorgeous and the car itself is incredible. IMO you're doing yourself a disservice. Shit, I debadged my M4 because I found the whole "Lets slap ///M on everything" gaudy and childish.

The real "M340i" will 150-200 lbs less than the F30 platform, It will also likely have different throttle mapping and suspension bits, etc. Its cool to do all of the body mods you want, but putting a fake badge on a car is just wrong. Even with all of your mods, it will not be the same as the real M340i no matter what you do. Why ruin a perfectly good vehicle over a badge?
