Black on black 435i - new rims

Just put on my new rims, FAST FC-04's. Used stock staggered tires, not lowered (xdrive).

Just keeping it simple but I may do a light tint, or will the car look too black?

Looks nice, I'd do 35% tints if you want to keep it light. But definitely tint it!

My second color of choice for my '17 340 was also black, but mineral grey took the cake.

^ mineral grey is beautiful, you can get a bit of contrast with black.

I'm in my early 40's and so are my buddies...they are purists and they say to keep the stock look, tints are for kids and gansta's. Why would I want to make my car look ghetto with dark tints - they say only the old modded accords and minivans have tints these days.

I've personally been modding cars for 20 years now, and all my last 4 cars minus the Z4 all had a dark tint. Dilemmas lol.

I just got 40 as well and I had a dozen parts on order before I even signed for the car ahah. The 340 is tinted as well. It looks nice but its also practical.

Tint is indeed a must! I like my 20% all around in a 335. Might get hassled by the cops sooner or later but.. whatever. Lol got lucky in my G and S4 where I was able to go under the radar.

tints would look good but i would do 35% if anything, also i would lower it as the x-drive sits higher than the non x-drive

Tint for sure!!!

Can anyone tell me why they'd choose to tint the back windows, but not the front passenger windows?

Laws, for one In Quebec (where I'm from), you're not allowed to have anything past a very minor tint (to the point where it's basically unnoticeable) on your front windows, but you can tint the rear and back window as dark as you want

Depends on the % you go with, here is my F36 with 35% tints

There. 20% is the law. You dont want law enforcement to pull you over for a tint and give them a chance to take a closer look at the car. I've NEVER been pulled for my mods and dont plan on being in a near future either.

Sure a full tint would look nice, cannot disagree with that, but i'm buying the peace of mind in staying legal for the tint and tires/wheels (noticed the gap too?); while going all in for everything else. Thats been a winning combination for me so far; and i'm now building my new 340 with the exact same mindset
