Job Opening - Sales Associate/Product Consultant @ ApexRaceParts

Aftermarket Performance EXpress (APEX) is a fast growing company that produces high performance automotive wheels and wheel accessories, in addition to distributing a range of other performance products. Our popular products are known for their performance, quality, value, and superior fitment, but our real success comes from our team of hard working, highly motivated staff members. Our staff of enthusiasts provide exceptional customer service while giving personalized, honest, and detailed product recommendations. Although we’re in the parts business since 2007, our culture, environment, and growth rate feel more like that of a tech start-up.



APEX is looking for a highly motivated Sales Associate/Product Consultant to support BMW applications. If you are passionate about BMWs, racing, and performance modifications, then this is the job for you. This position is based out of our Livermore California office, but we do offer the option to telecommute part of the work week. Sales associates will work in cooperation with other other sale staff that support BMWs and other vehicle makes, along with a sales manager and the marketing department. Your success in this position comes from your ability to join our team running and meeting/exceeding your goals. Your previous experience as a sales person has already taught you proper phone/email etiquette and you’ve developed substantial customer service and order processing skills. You’ve already worked in the industry at least a year, and you have experience answering technical questions, making production recommendations, and selling automotive parts by phone or online. Your comfort and familiarity in this role will allow you to focus on quickly becoming an expert on product applications and vehicle setup options.

Responsibilities & Tasks
  • Interact with retail and wholesale customers via the phone, email, forums, and in person
  • Provide extensive product and fitment recommendations unique to each customer’s application
  • Support and manage Group Buys
  • Process estimates and sales orders via our ERP system (NetSuite)
  • Provide exceptional customer service and troubleshoot order issues
  • Interact with suppliers to manage special orders and drop-shipments
  • Assist in creating and maintaining forum commercial/technical threads and blog articles related to APEX products
  • Answer questions via CRM system, and search out and answer APEX-related questions on forums
  • interact with marketing department to help develop content for marketing material and organize promotions/events
  • Maintain and grow internal fitment/application guides for products
Requirements:
  • A passion for BMWs, racing, and performance products
  • Familiarity with wheel specifications and fitment variables
  • 2+ years experience at a minimum in general sales role
  • 1 year minimum sales experience in a sales role specifically in automotive parts industry
  • Strong computer and typing skills (touch typist)
  • Ability to properly use Microsoft Office suite of application
  • Experience using online community forums
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, (answering phones, emails, private messages, online chat, online order entry and customer service)
  • Articulate, professional, and enthusiastic attitude
  • A high school diploma, college degree preferred
Preferred Skills
  • In-depth knowledge of all BMW Models and curently available performance parts & accessories
  • some familiarity with vehicle models and performance parts for other non-BMW makes: Mustang, Subaru, Porsche, Audi, VW…
  • Experience with ERP, CRM and order processing systems
