F30_SixSpeed 335i M Sport Build: 528 whp & 570 wtq | PS2 Turbo, FBO, XDI-35 + more!
Hi all, Back in early 2016 I was on a hunt for a 335i. Due to the options I wanted it (M sport, estoril blue, 6 speed, technology package, etc.) it took a few months to find exactly what I was looking for, but once I did I pulled the trigger, put down a deposit and drove a few states down to pick her up. Car is fully loaded, with some of my favorite options including RWD and 6MT. I told myself I'd keep the car mostly stock, but got a little itch and was basically FBO + tune a couple months later. Two years later, I'm now running a turbo upgrade (Pure Stage 2). My main goal is to keep this car balanced with practicality, looks and performance. I do track the car a decent amount, but also want to keep the car as a nice weekend warrior and a car I can take on long trips without worrying about any problems... so again drivability/practicality is big for me. The thread is in chronological order. I'll continue to update this thread as time goes on. Modifications Looks/Exterior/Interior
Performance/Suspension/Brakes
10/15/19 Finally got a chance to hit the rollers again! 528 whp & 570 wtrq Old Forgestar Setup on stock suspension - Fall 2016 Pure Stage 2 Turbo IN! - MARCH 2018 More Fueling is here! TTFS XDI-35 series single HPFP upgrade - October 2018

Phase one.
I wanted to throw on an M Performance kit shortly after I picked up my 335i. To me, the OEM style kit looks best on our cars. Looks sleek and aggressive, but not over the top... exactly what I was looking for. Instead of keeping it matte, I wanted to switch things up a little bit... so to the body shop they went. They were painted estoril blue and gloss black. The gloss black matches the grills and mirrors perfectly... and they compliment each other nicely. Side skirt extensions were added later on. I also had BMS 3.5" slanted tips prior to getting my AWE exhaust, shown below.

absolutely love what youve done with the car. wheels look great and how you painted the aero kit gloss black instead of leaving it matte adds a nice polished look to the car.
do you think you can run 245s on the 19x9 with the offset you have? im only asking because i want to get new wheels and want to run square and saw you have semi concave and i like the look youve got but wanted a little more tire. how much room do you have on the inside? if i was to go 19x9 et 33 im curious if that would be enough.

Car was too quiet stock... so first I added a AFE open air intake. Well built piece, no hesitation or bucking with this as I've heard with some other brands. No CELs. Sounds great.
Next I added a downpipe, which I thought would cure my need for a louder exhaust note.. and essentially run more boost/higher map on my JB4. With just the downpipe and can flap mode, car was slightly louder, but still too quiet for my taste. I ended up throwing on a full turbo back exhaust. Wagner catted DP to AWE exhaust with performance mid pipe. This setup is more on the expensive side, but probably one of the best sounding combos for the N55. With FBOs and JB4 dialed in, I decided to go back on the dyno. I was very impressed with the numbers. Best pull was 400whp, 473wtrq. I baselined on this SAME dyno bone stock with 273whp, 298wtrq. These are gains of 127whp and 175wtrq. I did a full writeup of my dyno day and map comparisons, which can be seen here: http://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1312822

Snapped a few pics on how the car is currently sitting.
I will be ordering my dual slate grills this week. Also looking to pick up my KW V2 coilovers shortly. Can't wait to drop it

So I picked up some new tips from AWE. Ultimately I wanted a little more pop and contrast with my black diffuser so I got the 102mm chrome silver tips. Love them... back end looks a lot more aggressive.
I also picked up an escort max 360 a little while back. I plan to get a blendmount and mirror tap to hardwire it into my car (no wires.) Promise my next update will be a better one.... got a few things I'm working on Last edited by F30_SixSpeed; 07-21-2017 at 09:38 AM.. |

Hey man, Car is looking good.
I also got the max 360, but I'm not sure if mount it below the mirror and do all the wire stuff. Been working good so far like this. Also, looking to get dyno soon with FBO+e40 on stock turbo as your, but with VRSF 6" IC. Let see if I get close to your numbers. Do you have logs on the n54 forum. I have some issues on map5 not getting boost target on higher rpms.

My advice is keep the 235/265 and get sticky tires. The wider you go, the more power you'll lose (due to heavier tires and wider patch) Also might want to get coilovers asap+maybe sways. Should help with grip as well. And if you really want to go full handling/track mode. Lighter wheels.

Good luck with your dyno. If you are on e40, try map 7 with the higher octane. Only logs I have from my dyno day was my 400 whp run. The log is below. http://www.n54tech.com/forums/showpo...7&postcount=12 Quote:
The forgestars are now gone and I picked up a new set of OEM 437M wheels. The fronts weigh 21.9 lb. and rears are 22.7 lb. Absolutely love them. And they are forged.
