Have you tried just water, maybe with washing up liquid. Just so see how hard it is to get it off?

I'd be worried that anything you do to try and remove the white dye would have a negative effect on the black dye as well. Send the shop that picture and see what they advise. They might be able to recommend a way to remove it or they will say bring it back and we will fix. I think the risk of doing damage to the existing dye on the wheel is high and I would recommend you spend the $40 to have them sort it.
This comes from experience of course as I tried to sort out some side bolster wear on my drivers seat back in March while we were under quarantine since I knew I wouldn't be driving much. Long story short after 3 separate dye attempts I called the specialists in and paid them $220 to sort it out. Thought it was a fair price until the dude finished the job in like 15 minutes.... and it looked perfect... needless to say I felt like a dope.

You need to take it back to them, if you mess it up they will deny liability claiming it wasn't from them.

The OP edited the first post early this AM, so the screw up is on him. As to the window, there is a procedure how to align it. His body shop doesn't know what it is, but I bet you can find a youtube video that shows how it's done.

Thanks, I didn't want to waste too much of forum resources on one incident. There is a video and instructions but specialty tools are required. I brought back to the shop and they adjusted it for me, I'm 99% satisfied.
