Could have found a saving

https://www.decathlon.co.uk/p/weight...l/_/R-p-171335

Not as heavy duty, but if I’m squatting >200kg then I will buy a bigger one!

A friend has one, I'm sure he said it was the best part of £2k to buy but it's something approaching £40/month for all the online features. Would be much cheaper to buy a turbo trainer and a bike (which you could also use seperately) if you weren't bothered about the online bits
Zwift is supposed to be good

Congrats on the new build and the plan to turn the garage into a sick home gym. I feel you on the cost, but trust me, it's worth it.
I recently got myself a heavy bag for apartment, and it's been a lifesaver. I've been able to switch up my workout routine, and it's been so convenient, especially with the limited gym options.
As for the garage gym, I think you're definitely on the right track with your equipment choices. The Peloton sounds like a solid option for those who enjoy classes. And with a wall-mounted smart TV, you'll have apps and classes at your fingertips!

Holy thread resurrection Batman! I didn’t have a garage at the time this thread came into existence but I do now. So as this is back up in the recent threads I’ll post this here.
Just need to sort out some scissor trusses so I can do more overhead work with the barbell in there.
