Tyres
I recently sold a pair of new PIRELLI 20in
225/35 R20 Which I had bought new from BMW but never put them on the car. Now the car is sold I ended up selling them on eBay. Anyway after 4 weeks I get the following reply from the buyer. What can I do to help him? I'm surprised BMW have mentioned this!!! Reply from buyer: "Bmw won't fit these as they think they're counterfeit? What should I tell them? As I know no idea Thanks" |

Tell the buyer the approximate date, purchase price and dealer that you bought them from. His advising dealer can always make an enquiry with the place you purchased them from.

I'd suspect that it's the buyer trying it on, hoping to force a partial refund out of you.
As such, I'd drop them a line, explaining that if they believe the tyres are fakes, then send them back to you, and once received and checked you'll issue them a full refund. |

My first thought was "It's ebay, cover your arse".
Make sure that you're past the 4 weeks that the buyer can claim through ebay for and ask the buyer to elaborate on what made the garage suspect that the tyres aren't genuine, then take it from there. Maybe ask the place you bought them from if they have a record of the sale.

If it is a chancer then I wouldn't ignore them. Delay them to put them past the deadline to make a claim.

Sorry to jump in like this but this is ebay, the buyer ALWAYS WINs!!!
If the buyer is not happy they can still claim it back after this period as they have began communication with you. You can either gamble and hope the buyer cant be bothered with the whole claim OR just ask for them back. its likely the buyer has bought them had a change of mind for some reason and then wanted their money back. or they could have switched your tyres for some other ones that are fake etc. Sometimes its not worth the hassle of possible comeback later on down the line. some people can be buggers |
