Hello all. So I've been running e30 lately, and recently decided to go back to the stage 2 multimap with 93 selected as the map on BM3. I still had some ethanol in the tank, and filled up at a gas station with about 2.5-3 gallons of ethanol which tests at about 80-85% ethanol usually. I filled up with the ethanol as the 93 there is usually subpar and has given me issues before.

I recently went to log the car as I was out on some empty roads. The weather recently dropped, and it was about 40 F ambient when I did the log. Log found below:

Is it time for a new HPFP? I can also go back to 93 once the tank is empty. I am thinking the drop may also have been due to the cold weather. Any input is appreciated

Just want to add: I was on stage 2 e30 when the weather was in the 60s and did not have any issues. Noticed some slight hiccups since the weather dropped which made me think to do some logs

It’s the colder weather. I couldn’t run Stg 2 E30 below 60F ambient on the stock HPFP.

Good to know. Happy to hear it's just the cold weather as opposed to hpfp. I'll check again once the weather is warmer

Yes colder air on a boost-based tune contributes to HPFP crash since the tune is not adjusting boost target for the higher air density, and more air requires more fuel.

Also, running extra ethanol on the pump gas map is more likely to push HPFP past its limit because the pump gas maps run slightly more boost than the ethanol maps. The ethanol maps make more power with more timing.

Good to know. I'll stay away from ethanol in this subpar weather in the meantime. Hopefully all is well once the weather is above 60
