Maybe everyone should phone into BMW NA headquarters and complain about this.. its 9 months late and people wanna throw their money at this and BMW dont seem to want their money.

Update: the 340i/440i M Performance Power & Sound Kit will finally be released in the next week or two! :thump:

The final power figures are accurate to the initial estimates.

We'll be raffling off a complete kit, so keep your eyes out on the homepage for our announcement!

Hey guys. Got my 340i last week then got the mppk yesterday! Absolutely loving it. Cost me roughly $3400 with the chrome tips

I'm glad it's finally coming! And now the really tough decision has to be made.

2 month old 340i xdrive - obviously quite a bit of warranty left.

MPPK for a few $1000's and decent performance bump with peace of mind on warranty. Also some beefier sound.

OR

JB4 for $600-ish and a little more performance than MPPK but warranty risks. And no sound change unless paired w another exhaust mod.

I don't care much about the sound (my wife hated my last car w an aftermarket exhaust). But the warranty bit matters a lot to me.

Does the the extra $2-3k cost of the MPPK cancel out the (presumably) small additional risk to warranty coverage from JB4?

I know there are JB4 owners with strong opinions here, at least with the JB4 vs Dinan options on the 335, but what about currently stock 340 owners?

How many B58 guys/gals are on this same fence with me? Discuss.

Discuss - I want warranty and exhaust pop. It's not just about hp/trq, but total package of sound and speed. I've never been 100% satisfied with JB4, even though they show the most power via a dyno. A $10 bottle of vodka gets you drunk but a $50 bottle does it smooth and without a hangover.

Discuss: I bought my 340 outright, no lease or loan. I will get the MPPSK despite it possibly not being the best bang per buck ... the B58 is still fairly untested so I want the warranty protection. I will probably add an Intake, perhaps a DP and the JB4 at some point but not until the engine is more proven or I'm closer to warranty expiration.

Is the exhaust that comes with the MPPK the same as the MPE? If so I wonder if I can just get the tune sine the 340 I just picked up over the weekend already as the MPE.

I was wondering this too. My wife hated the drone in my last car and I felt a little self conscious since my car always sounded faster and furious-er, even when I was just loafing along.

Would be awesome if I could get just the Power and not the Sound from the MPPSK. Seems like most of the $ are going to be paying for the exhaust anyway, so could it even be less expensive that way?
