I plan on testing it too. I've just always heard how much better of a driver's car the M2 is compared to the M4.

See, I believe the M2 is more race/track focussed and not as good as a day to day all rounder that the M4 is. The M4 reminds me a lot of my e39 M5 in that regard. The M2 was a little too tightly sprung (suspension wise) for everyday usage.

While the M2 is a little stiff, I think the simplicity and smaller size make it a more enjoyable car to drive in just about any situation. It just felt more eager and tossable where the M4 felt heavier and more ponderous. The DCT in the M4 didn't help either.

Something that really surprised me with the M4C was the level of noise inside. The vehicle I drove for a day was a Heritage Edition with the 20" wheels and between the exhaust and road noise it was deafening. I couldn't talk on the phone and it was hard to converse with passengers. I never encountered that in an M2C. The noise and fury were fun for a few minutes but got old quick.

Curious that. My M4 (non comp) is quieter than my M2 was.

Yeah my M2 is pretty loud...would def expect it to be louder than M4.

FWIW, there is a lengthy "sound deadening" thread on the M2 board that should be all the evidence one needs to conclude that the in cabin noise should be a consideration before buying

My M2C is far quieter on the inside than my F30 was. Not sure if it is better build quality, but no rattles or creaks and WAY less noise at higher speeds.

Well, should re-title the thread. Had an opportunity to drive the CS and all I can say is wow! Seriously, can't stop smiling from ear to ear.

Take all of the items I mentioned in the first post and call it better or fixed in the CS.

That was waaaaaay too much fun.
