Revers lights LEDs
Hi guys,
So i've switched my 2014 F32 reverse lights to LED. It wasnt easy to find the bulb PW24W, but I did find them on Amazon and bought them. 1 year and 2 months later one went out... So here I am again trying to find a replacement but not only they are hard to find but everything looks a bit cheap. Here's a pic of the old one I have to throw out now... they were pretty bright. Any tips or clues where I can find high quality super bright ones? is there any alternative PN i should look for instead of PW24W? |

I've been using these for the last 2 years. No issues with CANBUS (just used Bimmercode to denote LED bulbs). Plenty bright enough for reverse with 5 CREE R4 emitters.

I've had these for 5 years, no problems. They're not the brightest made but they still work far better than halogen.
https://www.amazon.com/SYLVANIA-1156...5&sr=1-11&th=1 There are never issues with CAN bus. LED manufacturers and sellers who say their lamps are CAN bus ready don't even know what it is. The same for those who recommend resistors to prevent errors. Use Bimmercode or other coding to turn off the warm and cold checks and change the voltage from incandescent to LED and you're good to go |

I've been using the JDM ones for almost five years. First set lasted around 3 years? Current set no issues.

The H21W base pins are set at a 120 degree angle. It's used in the brake light. The reverse lamps are P21W, which has base pins set at a 180 degree angle. This applies to pre-LCI.
With LCI it appears that the brake lights are non-replaceable factory LED and the brake light is H21W. You can find what your model uses in your manual. |
