Looks great!

Still not as breathtaking as the 6GC, but that was to be expected. The sheer size of the 6GC allows for a more dramatic design while still offering adequate space in the back.

The 4GC in M-Sport disguise and with the right interior options (full leather if available) certainly will make it on my wish list, maybe on 2nd spot after the M3.

I'm not sure I understand the point of this. Why not simply get an F30?

Agree the 6GC has more wheelbase and bigger car to really show the lines best...Kinda like CLS looks sleek CLA looks funny IMO

BMW Say they made the even number models for the coupe range which in my understanding is 2 door, and then they will start adding 2 more doors to it.
can u explain this BMW? whats the difference between 4 Door sedan and a Gran Coupe??

Anybody know the length and weight of the 4 GC and how it compares to the 3-er?

The 4 weights within 10-50lbs or less of a similar 3, add less than 50-100lbs to that for the GC. The 4 is about a tenth of an inch longer than the 3, the GC should be about the same.

My guess...
428 GC RWD 3440-3520
435 GC RWD 3580-3660

We already know the 8spd adds about 50lbs and XDrive adds about 140-150lbs.

Maybe this was already covered: whats the point of the 4GC? Seems like a direct competitor to the 3er. What am I missing? Besides my deposit...

Seriously though, was at the dealership today getting my car serviced and I sat in a 6 GC for my first time. M6, Gran Coupe, individual car. $145,000. They had to pry me out of it. The only things going through my head at the time was what body parts I can sell to get this car. Take out a second mortgage? Maybe take out some loans against my business name and declare bankruptcy? I have some ideas, but I might need to run them by my attorney first. Lol!

So sweet.
+1 the 6GC actually looks quite nice!

I'm liking the 4GC a lot more than the F30. I know I won't like the "premium" they're gonna be charging for a "4 series".

This would probably be my next car but I probably can't justify the premium they're gonna charge over the "normal" F30. Prove me wrong BMW, prove me wrong

This car is going to look a lot better without the shadowline trim.

It's the added heft needed to support the 5th hatch door. 6GC is super svelte because it has a standard trunk.

Shame that this thing isn't a 4GC in the true sense of the model.

Bimmerpost is beholden to embargo dates. Jalopnik reported on someone else breaking the street date.

The GC windows had no frame unlike the sedan, plus its look much sportier compare with sedan.

For all of you who don't get the 4gc, just get an F30...

There's enough reasons to justify this car imho, we will have to wait and see how the comparison between F30 vs F36 will be side by side in the flesh.
I bet that 50% of the 'i don't get it' ppl will suddenly get it... The other half, well... Buy the sedan...

I like the design a lot, wonder what the premium pricing will be like Down Under. On second thought, I don't want to know

Might be a candidate for changeover in a couple of years if the M3 is still off the table for me.
