Staggered to squared fitment question
I have a 17 340i M-sport (stock springs) w/ 19 inch staggered (225/40 front 255/35 rear) & have an opportunity to pick up a squared set of 255/35r19 on 19x9 72.56 +15 offset. Any fitment issues or concerns? TIA

That's a very low offset. Don't think they'll work. I'm running a square set of OEM 437M fronts (19x9) that are +29 offset. Currently on 245/35R19, down from the 255/35s that were originally on the wheels and that rubbed on hard bumps and dips (I'm lowered on H&R Sport springs).
I found my post from when I first mounted them (with the 255/35s). Joining the 437M party https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1595314 Even with +29, they poke a bit. +15 would be pushed out 1.4cm beyond what's in these pics.

Very helpful information.
I just picked up a F36 with xDrive and M Sport. The wheels are 704M in ferric grey. The tires are Front: 19x8.0, 225/40 R19 Rear: 19x8.5, 255/35 R19. I'm considering picking up an inexpensive set of Style 396 wheels (18x8 ET +34) with 225/45 R18 tires in a squared set up for winter. The 396 wheels came with the F36 until at least 2014. Because the 396 wheels were an option on this generation of car, I assume they would be O.K. as a winter tire set up. They won't look as nice. But I think that's O.K. for the 4 or 5 months a year I'll need them. Am I missing something? Thanks in advance. |
