any recommendation for an exhaust shop

hey guys, I've a 428I and have recently got a 435i axle back setup from another member who had it custom fit on his 428i. It will required welding
and some adjustment to fit well. Does anyone know any good muffler shop
around central jersey? I do not just walk into any shop coz i have bad experience before when i had my STI exhaust done....so i wanna see if
there's any good reputable shop around thanks

I recently had a exhaust dump welded into my existing exhaust system at Dynamic Performance of Hillsborough. The specialize in high horsepower Honda's (SFWD drag racing) but know their stuff all around. The owner, Allen said he's gotten a few BMW's in before. The weld work is very nice. Dropped the car off in the morning and had it in the afternoon. Would recommend to others. A little pricey but you're paying for good work and a trustworthy job. Not sure how close you are to Hillsborough though.

how much did you pay for that? I am a bit skeptical what you mean by pricey coz everyone has a different definition you know...

I was referred to a shop in Queens and they quoted $100 for the job, which is fine
but they are a bit far and the traffic to Queens during the day is a nightmare...
so I am trying to find one in NJ to get it done

A flat $200 for them to cut out a section of pipe the size of the exhaust dump, and to weld it into place. They needed to remove the exhaust all together obviously. It was pretty stuck on there too but that was included in the price. I had brought it there beforehand to get an estimate which he was firm with after the job was done.

I say pricey because I've had estimates for other things that were a bit much. But you could go to a muffler shop and get what I had done for 100 and have crap welds I guess is what I mean by that. After seeing there work, worth every penny

When I had this done at Lux Motorworks in Keyport a couple years ago I think I paid $160. I also provided the right side hanger which cost about $60.

Good luck,
