If you have the standard single piston caliper brake setup, then you certainly could run a 17" fitment. Comfort will certainly be improved and actual wheel gap will not really change as you would be using a tire with a teller side wall and similar overall rolling diameter. I will also mention that running an 18" fitment would still offer great ride comfort as you can run a 35 or 40 series tire depending on what width you are looking for. Please feel free to send us an email if you would like further one on one fitment advice. -Ian

While that wheel setup is going to be an ideal fit for your 440i GC, your listed tire specs are a bit off from what we recommend for that particular fitment. If your 440i is X-drive you will be a bit more limited as to what tire sizes you can run. However, if it is RWD, you have some more tire size options. We recommend the following tire size combinations with those wheels: 235/40-18 front and 265/35-18 rear -Direct fit -Only compatible for RWD F3X's or 245/40-18 front and 275/35-18 rear -In some cases, a rear fender roll might be required to alleviate any rubbing under suspension compression (depending on your suspension setup and what specific tires are being used). -X-drive compatible Please let me know if you have any other questions! -Geirsen

I calculated those sizes and they're a tad smaller than 26. Am also looking to not increase gap. Additionally, went to your website to buy the wheels and what I'd like is backordered. Is there an ETA on when these will be in stock? |

If you would prefer to have a larger overall rolling diameter, the 245/40-18 and 275/35-18 setup will likely give you the best results. For the 18x9" ET31 EC-7 in all finishes, we will be expecting new inventory to arrive around late March. For the 18x9.5" ET43 EC-7 in all finishes, we will be expecting new inventory to arrive around mid-April. Please let me know if you have any additional questions! -Geirsen

Rims rims rims
Some great pics of RIMS options. I have started thinking about possible replacement for my standard OEM M Sport 19' rims. There is a RAYS racing centre HUB rim that I absolutely love - but don't want conversion drama. Maybe soon they will produce a road car 5 nut equivalent.

No plans for polished flow-formed ARC-8s at the moment, but a large portion of our forged ARC-8R line are available in our polished finish.

I was on the first SM-10 group buy for a set of 18x8.5 et38. Have loved these wheels since day 1, balance very well and look excellent on f30.

I exercise caution, but no there’s no need to go sideways over everything. It’s a very mild drop, most people think it’s stock height.

How is the ride on the b6s with lowering springs? Do you have to go sideways over everything? |

Just know that a monotube shock like the B8 is going to be inherently stiffer than a dual tube like the OEM design. It feels like an improvement over the OEM M Sport when it comes to handling, but with a slightly firmer ride. Ditching the runflats will help make it more comfortable too.
