Trying to Code BMW F32 2017 - but file error
All,
Can anybody help me with my coding on my new 4-series 2017. I am trying to get "Office" to work like my old 4-series for reading texts and emails etc. I am getting an error message on a file at the coding stage. I have tried 6NS, and then (as my deal mentioned it) 6NW - both produce the same error. So some details... Its a BMW 4-series. I am using e-sys v 3.27.1 I have changed the FA, checked it has been applied to the car, went down to the coding, selected my head unit (HU_NBT2 [63]), right clicked the green item, and it processses. But at the end, it produces an error: Transaktions-Report: Aktion: Codieren File for "cafd_00001ef6-006_025_106" not found! [C012] The steps I used were... Step 1. Change FA from 6NH to 6NS (and tried 6NW): E-Sys - How to change FA in F-series car.pdf Step 2. VO Code Head Unit and standalone Combox (CMB_MEDIA) if present: Connect => Read FA (VO) => Activate FA (VO) => Read SVT (VCM) => Right-Click on Head Unit ECU (e.g. HU_NBT, HU_CIC, HU_CHAMP, HU_ENTRY, HU_ENTRYNAV, etc.) (the ECU itself not the underlying CAFD) => Select CODE (Not Code FDL). Its at step 2 that I get the error? Anybody have any ideas? Last edited by jaffab; 08-18-2017 at 09:13 AM.. Reason: Formatting |

It's not so much the version of E-Sys but the version of PSdZdata (cafd files) you're using. Do you have 62.1 or later?

Hmm - says (on e-sys help) its Psdz version 5.01.02-2015-08-12T12:04:59Z.
So 2015 is pretty old. Do you have a link to a more up to date version - and how to install it? |

That's way too old for a 2017 car. If you PM shawnsheridan I'm sure he will help you with the latest version.

I had a similar error when I coded Office in my 2017 F31 . I contacted shawnsheridan and he explained how to inject the CAFD file and it worked afterwards. I can't tell you how but I just did what he said & it worked.
This thread may help http://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1390836
