That's what I though. Since it will be "mine" it will hard to resist some mods down the road...
It's a good companion to my wife's Sport 340 and our E46 M3

4 Series Gran Coupe here, and thanks to those in this thread- I just called BMWFS and they are offering a $3,000 residual reduction and a 6 month extension on the lease for 4 Series customers. I'm due in September 2020.

As I'm trying to find a hardtop convertible and/or wait to lease the new 4GC when its released, this is a big help. I only have 14K miles on the car so I'm going to be able to have a lot more time to make a good decision on my next BMW.

Again, thanks to those posting this information.

Beautiful specification and not surprised you want to keep your car. I got the same deal and I'm in the same dilemma on my F31, although I didn't special order it, and couldn't find an in stock model to my exact spec (really wanted track package too). If I did, I would be keeping mine. Desirable and in demand now.

Funny enough, after searching high and low for weeks, I was trying to get a dealer to sell me your exact spec of car 3 years ago...nearly happened too, but he found out it was a customer ordered car and sales manager pulled the deal after calling the customer to confirm he still wanted it. Your gray on red spec with track package is so rare - Maybe it was yours!

Yes they are somewhat rare.I had a F31 owner follow me to a store to ask if it was modified... Most buyers just grab what is on the lot.
Well, the deed is done. Signed the papers. Bought it out of the lease today. Somewhat, it feels special as I own it

Congratulations - enjoy in good health.

I've just extended my F31 lease payments for a further 5 months to see how the markets play out, and hope that I still have my job after all of this.

The payments also go towards reducing the buyout price if I decide to keep it. So, I'm somewhat hedging my bets right now.

I was offered a $5,500 discount today on the payoff of my lease, ending in January. With the lease terms and this offer, here's how the whole deal works out:

Monthly payments to date (33 of 36) (minus sales tax): $14,968
Zero down payment at inception
Payoff (minus sales tax): $26,247
Total Purchase+Lease: $41,215
MSRP: $50,395
Discount from MSRP: 18.2%
Mileage Now: 15,750 (of 30k allowed)

I was and I did. Check sent to BMWFS. We have a bit of a monopoly of one AutoNation BMW store around here and they had no interest in any of the additional deals/ideas suggested of getting CPO rolled in by financing, etc. They also charge about $500 for "doc fees", so that store is best avoided as much as possible. So, I just worked around them and sent the check to BMWFS and they send the clear title back to me. No dealer involvement whatsoever. No inspection. The plates and registration don't even change. I just mail the title to the DMV and get a new one in return...as it turns out, could not be easier.

Has anyone who had a lease ending on a 2018 seen similar deals from BMWFS? Just curious if they are still being offered into 2021.

Unrelated but holy moly that must be a rare spec. You never see f31's around, let alone with the red seats and M sport brakes. Beautiful

Any Updates regarding these lease buyout rebates?
My 2018 BMW 340i lease is ending in July 2021. I have not seen anything in the payoff documents (from the BMWFS website) yet.
Residual is around $34k
Current Mileage ~21k
I do want to buy it out if there is a good deal.
