Opinion of BAV Sound
I am looking into the BAV Stage one system for my 328i with premium package. If i already have the premium package does the BAV really make that much of a difference ? I need more BASS!
Also anyone in the NYC area do installs for BAV ? |

it'd probably better if you had posted this in the nav, audio, video, etc. section.
from the few threads i've read about bavsound it seems like there is quite the difference, especially with the ghost subs. it also seems you need the bimmertech? amplifiler, though. |

Do the Bimmertech amp first.....it's totally tunable, it's easy to do yourself and TUNE yourself with the software which you downloan off the internet....I did this on my 328 with "Hifi" (yeah right) system....worth every penny.

Just did the BAVSound Stage One last weekend on my basic sedan with Hi-Fi. Hugh difference. Now I want more so I ordered the amp, which I am expecting tomorrow.
Even without the amp, there is noticeable punch in the bass. You could actually feel it vibrating on your legs and shakes my cell phone holder.

stage one doesnt change out subs~~ if that is really your focus... you still get more bass overall with S1.. but it wont be a drastic change in the lower end / bass... significant maybe and better but it wont be "crazy"
*edit* you'll certainly hear more bass but you still wont 'feel' it much

I was in a similar position as you with my HiFi system. I would recommend getting the BimmerTech F30 Amp first. The BAV package will probably give you a better sounding system, but it won't give you that kick you're looking for. I just installed the BimmerTech amp and kept the EQ settings flat. I raised the channel amplification on the under seat sub-woofer channels and now the system sounds closer to the way that I wanted it to sound. I'm going to keep the stock speakers for a while since I'm OK with the current set up (i might do the speaker upgrade next summer). |
