F32 - 435 RWD Exhaust Options

Wanted to get thoughts/experiences of those who ventured down this road already.

1) I’ve seen a 435xdrive with a M2 silencer/axle back. This is one option but as I understand it, the diffuser needs to either be replaced or trimmed with a dremel. This would be a standard M2 box, so whilst it would be aesthetically pleasing I’m unsure about sound.

2) Used m performance exhaust silencers regularly pop up, except they are 135/140 variants. Can these be fitted on a 435i? The box dimensions look very similar, it’s mount points I’m concerned about.

3) 340/440i MPE, can this be fitted to a 435? I know it’s the same body, but wondered if the lack of where the clip plugs into may affect anything?

4) across the board, diagrams and images sometimes don’t show the black side box which you plug a cable into, is this engine specific?

Here’s a few examples or I took off eBay

Preferably stick to OEM, as if any issues pop up don’t want BMW’s list of things to moan about grow on top of coding the car + 8.8 screen upgrade. M2 route is very unlikely unless I decide to take that big of a risk.

Go with M2 exhaust and a catless dp. You will love it for sure.

1) Aftermarket wider hole diffuser or OEM to be trimmed. Confirmed.

2) Can be, with some welding work to cover differences in bore size apparently. No idea on warranty, even if it’s a BMW box for a different series.

3) As 2), different bore sizing apparently. Can likely be fitted with welding, and extra pipe work. Not compatible out of the box.

4) Turns out this is a ‘actuator’ and sends back values to a on board module. Can be re-attached into bracket points very easily.

So final deliberations..

Remus Dual Exit (not changing diffuser, would of loved the quads before I saw what they actually are, 2 tips with 1 blanked or are they joined?! Also, it needing a diffuser trimmed.

MPE Chrome, not sure about carbon black on a EBII, that and the tips are £250 more than chrome. I can always get the tips whenever I want to go for them.

Remus £850
MPE Chrome - £732

Not too much in it, MPE fitted by BMW, Remus maybe by myself if I can be asked or at a exhaust place.

Thoughts, thoughts, thoughts

Videos aren’t enough alone, not sure where I can look for a .35i with Remus around London
