Just received my 8 piece gloss carbon trim from OCarbon. Looks lovely! Wanted to update the interior from the Burl wood.

I'm conservative with mods as I like them to be very tasteful. To this end, I stuck with the 8 factory pieces only (no extras).

Car is at the dealer getting the EPS clunk addressed (fingers crossed). Can't wait to have it back so I can have the trim installed. Will provide more pics when installed.

Matt at OCarbon was great to deal with. I was upfront with him that I was genuinely concerned about some of the negative feedback I'd seen on Yelp and Audizine.

Well, I can tell you that his communication was timely and he's made good on everything he's promised me thus far. He did have a kit already ready; so it was an easier process. Perhaps the past issues occurred when people had to send in their own trim, which makes timely return really critical (as no one wants to drive around with their interior in tatters).

Probably best to reach out to Matt as it wouldn't be fair for me to state pricing. I can tell you that it's comfortably sub $1K.

You do have to send in your old trim; else you'll have to eat the core charge.

I'll post pics once I have them installed.

No, they aren't overlays. OCarbon removes the old finish, lays the actual carbon weave on the trim and then clearcoats the entire piece; followed by sanding and final polishing.

Thank you. I've been lusting after this trim since I first saw it on the F80/82s.

One of first interior mods I did on my car was replace the matte black trim around the HVAC & radio controls (that the Msport line comes with) with the brushed aluminum-look trim from the Luxury line cars.

So, what I have wanted to do was to incorporate the gloss carbon while still keeping the aluminum trim intact (the M Cars have the black chrome accent). This kit allows me to do that.

IMO this looks better than the OEM non-glossy carbon/alcantara trim BMW offers. Are you saying that they have ready made pieces that you can buy and then all you have to do is send in your old trim? How do I reach Matt?

Hi....no, am not saying that - I simply lucked out in that he had a ready-made set on hand. Send him an email; perhaps he has another one in stock.

Email him directly: Matt@ocarbon.com. Tell him you saw Zubin's kit and liked it.

I too didn't care much for the dry carbon/alcantara kit. Different stokes for different folks, though.

I also wanted to retain my aluminum surround (HVAC/Radio controls). The F80/82 kit has the black chrome trim, which wouldn't work with my aluminum. As such, this was the best solution for me.

That looks great, I am in the same situation where I want to keep the aluminum trim, only problem that I am having is contacting him, I tried IG, phone call and email and no response which it worries me, if you run any kind of business, communication and customer service ate keys to success.

I can't disagree - one has to be responsive to customer inquires. This seems to have haunted him in the past.

I found him to be responsive; but your experience could very well be different. I do know his operation is small and he doesn't have a full time sales/marketing staff; so he has to individually respond to each query.

I sent him a screen shot of your post. Give him a day or two to respond. The product is good quality.
