Seems like the police are much stricter in EU than they are in the US. We do all sorts of things to our lights without any problems.

Thank you for replying! You're right, there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with this, the incident was probably just a one off. Some UK officers just seem quite unsure of the laws themselves haha!

True, but gradually over the years they have begun to accept a lot more compared to before. Plus, when newer features (lighting or whichever) come out on vehicles, a few of the cops here don't seem to be completely up to date on laws regarding these, so they seem a bit confused unless you explain it to them. This is generally a rare case though (i probably made it sound like a big deal lol), but still, some cops need to !! haha

No problem. I contacted the parts department of my local BMW dealership and each costs US$270! That's $540 for both sides. Crazy. A lot cheaper to get them brand new over the internet ($190 each).

Yes, you can set sidemarkers as DRL

in any empty mapping
xxxxx_OUTPUT_L = 0D
xxxxx_OUTPUT_R= 0E
Function 04 for both
priority to 2 for both
PWM Level one to whatever you like. usually like 40hex

This worked for the drls, but now they're not on with the dipped headlights. They are on with the drls and sidelights though.

I told you in a vacant mapping not the same mapping.

reset the mapping you played with, and put all PWM levels to 64 in both right and left in Sidemarkers

Some of universals.

Try to change the first 3 PWM levels on sidemarkers to 64, i think this one will work easily.

the first method will work too, but it requires more midifcation.

No no, it will named as UNIVERAL_1_OUTPUT etc

Just try to put all PWM to 64 in sidemarkers, it will work.
