Got a call from my garage today saying my car had arrived. They were well upbeat only to tell me that my car was not available until the 2nd June as my company doesn't release cars between the 20th and the 1st of the month due to payroll.

Away that week until the Friday so what could have been next week is now the 6th June

Agree but when speaking to them they say because it sits outside the payroll cycle they can't accept delivery as needs to be insured within the cycle for deductions

The 20th is days away, can't the dealership pull their finger out?

Also, seems odd that the insurance is dependent on your salary deduction.

What I would expect is that you could take the car now but that you would face a double deduction from either your June or July salary to catch you up for May.

Their prerogative I guess.
