Good places for accident repair in Vancouver
Hi vancuverites. I had a minor accident a couple of days ago when the conditions were bad. Someone rear ended me as I was waiting at a stop sign . On the bright side, the damage is not too bad, looks like only the bumper has to be replaced.
ICBC has already approved the repairs, so I am now looking for a place to take the car into. I've read that Korva is really good... Should I go there? Or, should I take the car to the dealership (usually go to Brian Jessel)? Any comments are helpful! |

Brian Jessel just sends it out to No 1 Collision and they are really hit or miss (mostly miss). Korva is one of the best in town and that's where I would go. B&D on Clark is also BMW Certified, but they suck.

I've had several cars in the family (and extended family and friends) go to Twinstar Collision on Kingsway. Ben and Tim (yes, twins!) are super friendly and passionate about their work. They have an in-house paint booth as well. They've repaired BMW's, Benz's, Acura's and Audi's for us with varying amounts of damage and we've all been super happy. ICBC certified. Will be bringing my wife's X1 in in spring (light rear-ender by drunk driver when car was a month old last year). Omg, I sound like an ad! Lol but they've been great for us.
Good luck! Fred |

Lol not sure. I'm not in the industry... but I've heard of body shops having to send the cars to an off-site location to get things painted...

I second Korva. Korva and Burrard Autostrasse are the very best auto body shops in Vancouver. Just take a look at the vehicles they work on. They only work on high-end German, Italian, etc. No. 1 Collision isn't in the same league.

BMW certified doesn't mean shit, they just pay for sending a guy or 2 down to get a day or 2 of training and instantly they are certified. Provided they have the correct tooling in the shop as well.
A lot of shop now a days pay for the franchise names like CSI, Carstar or whatever. That's because they are instantly certified with some car brands. It's all a gimmick. |

Twinstar is top notch. Taken our previous Audi (B6 A4 Avant), and current F48 and F30 there for various levels of damage (since 2014) and all came out great...not to mention Ben and Tim (twins!) are super friendly and honest guys. Have referred several family members there since and nothing but glowing reviews from them.
Good luck! Fred |
