F15 m sport steering wheel on f30

Quick question about m sport steering wheels

Is the f15 m sport steering wheel the same size as the F30 msport wheel?

Will the controller module in the f15 steering wheel work with F30 steering column?

I bought a f15 msport wheel with paddles vibro and heat. I just wanted to make sure everything will work on my car before I install it. The wheel came with the electronics module and the wiring harness as well.

Gents the wiring for the paddle shift are different between the F15 (X5) and the F25 (X3) as I found out the hard way. Took me a year to eventually get it resolved.

There is a good chance it will be the same for the F2x/F3x. I also think the paddle circuit boards part # may differ and in switch resistance as well.

The X5 has a BDC module, the X3 a FRM module and the F3x uses the FEM/REM to communicate with the various steering wheel and body functions. They all communicate differently with other modules I recommend you source your steering wheel from the same type of car to reduce the risk of incompatibility and problems occurring.

Everything seemed to have worked for me. its very hard to find a real airbag though. Almost impossible. I dont even know if the one i got is good.

Ok I just checked the paddle shift wiring for the F15 vs F3x steering wheel and they are the same. However as I said before the F25 wiring differs to the F15 and I had to modify mine to make it work. My point is many sellers on eBay advertise their steering wheels will work with all models which is not correct I would suggest the buyer confirms the donor vehicle type before purchase and save the pain of it not working as expected and then fixing it often as an additional cost.

Installed a m sport steering wheel from a F3x into a F15 with heating, vibra etc and worked no problem.

Hows the steering wheel holding up im thinking of going from the sportline steering whweel to the msport and i sourced one off a f15 x5
is it compatible?
