M Sport Package now standard on 2014 335?

http://www.bmw.ca/ca/en/newvehicles/...figurator.html

The front bumper is the M sport bumper, the only 2 wheel options are the 18 inch or 19 inch M sport wheels, the steering wheel is the M sport steering wheel.

Wow. Based on this configurator, a 2014 with the Power Pack and M Exhaust would be $1250 higher than the MSRP for my car, which has neither of those. And they added Sirius to the Premium Package, which is still the same cost as last year. And the car's base price hasn't gone up.

I'm not wishing I waited, but man, it seems like so far 2014 is the best year to buy a f30.

To buy, yes. To lease, no. Lease on 2013s is 2.9% and on 2014 4.9%.

That sucks (unless you're shopping 2014s) but I guess it's a risk you take when you buy

does all of this makes the upcoming special edition less interesting?

The special edition that was available to order in may?

If that's what you mean, it's a 2013 model....but still, I dont think this diminishes that car.

That was literally available to order for a week or so in May, and it was available in Valencia Orange and another colour that you can't order on a 3 series. So, very exclusive. It also included the 20 inch M performance wheels which are like 4500 bucks.

So that special edition is a better deal and a more unique 335 than the 2014 335 will be.

On the flip side the incentives and interest rates they are/were offering for 2013's were pretty ridiculous when compared to a 2014. My lease payment would have been substantially higher on a 2014.

Yeh unfortunately this was confirmed a few months ago.

I guess the moral here is to never buy a first year model...you get stuck with problems and less of a deal scenario...my car has had a fair share of issues and they keep coming up...

Man you need to start stopping by at our local meets. Do you reside outside of Toronto?

I'm probably an hour and a half from T.O. on a good day....hour and fifteen mins from Oakville/Mississauga.

And I don't even have the car yet. Dropped it off 10 weeks ago in Munich, might get it this afternoon. If was sitting at the port in Halifax for a month - they basically forgot about it and continually BSed me when I asked questions. Long story though, but in short I ended up contacting a national sales director at BMW Canada.... BMW Canada called me yesterday and said they'll give me back $1500. I guess I can put that towards features the 2014 has that my 2013 doesn't....or snow tires. Now the car is nearly ready, they're just installing the North American maps and if that goes smoothly I get it today.

Feels like it's been forever....I can't wait. I've been in a 328xi loaner for the last week and it's hard to keep that thing at reasonable speeds...the 335 is gonna be trouble....gotta remember I'm not on the autobahn anymore
