BMW F30 (2014/09) HU_ENTRYNAV Route Map Update

I'm hoping someone can help out.

After a couple of days of blindly thinking I could update my map (hey, it worked last time, what could go wrong?) I've found out that for whatever reason I didn't need a code last time. Well, now I do and after putting the USB stick in and getting the activation code wrong a couple of times, now the navigation system won't start - activation code needed".

It's an F22 with entrynav and Route maps. I pulled the FSC from 0xDF (eventually) but of course it doesn't work with any generator.

Is it just a case of getting a real activation code and everything will start working, or have I broken something? I don't think it actually updated anything, it only took a few seconds.

You need only a Valid FSC Code.

I currently have this map installed from factory:

Road Map EUROPE Route 2016-1
RL_ENTRYNAV_NAV_I15405A

Am I right in thinking that if I update this map to a later one I'll need to get an FSC code from BMW?

Would it perhaps be possible to install the 'premium' version of the map instead, or can I only use 'route' maps?

Maps are not interchangeable. You can only use ROUTE Map. PM sent.

Just like belowzero I have been stressing very hard for the last couple of days, trying to update my maps, and failed miserably. I managed to pull the FSC from 0xDF, but found out that it is useless. I'm trying to update my entrynav to Route Europe West 2021-1, but managed to completely disable the navigation system as it asks for the FSC code constantly now. If you can work your magic to unlock my navigation system again, I would be very grateful, shawnsheridan.
