M style cf mirrors

So I been on alittle CF kick with my car and considering adding either standard carbon fiber mirror caps or the M
Style. I found them on eBay for reasonable pricing and was wondering if anyone ever did this and has any experience. Is it easy to pop off the mirror caps?
Thanks!

Easy to pop off. Just make sure you don't catch your hand on it. Lol

I got it from Ebay for 100$. But the only down side about it is if you have them for a while, the cover starts peeling. Still good! ?

Ahh how long is awhile lol, how long did it take until it happened to you? Did the cover slide right into place and line up with the clips fine? For 100$ it's hard to beat lol.

So far, I've had them for about a year. The fitment is good but could be better. But it's minor Tbh. Carbon weave on it is great and the cover might be a little heavy like 1-2 pounds lol

I have a m-style cf version for sale if your interested. Same as the one you posted. Its easy to pop off the mirror caps with trim tools. I decided to go another route and bought non cf mirror caps and painted it.

Yeah be careful taking it off. The first time I followed the instructions from a YouTube video and took the mirrors off first and cracked one. $300 to replace the second time I just pulled the oem mirror cover off and that was a lot easier!

Hey there. I feel the carbon fiber kick. It happens haha. I have similar, if not the same, CF caps on my f30 as you posted. Couple observations from my experience:

1: The first set I bought had TERRIBLE fitament to the point that I could not get them on. I emailed the eBay seller who said it was a fluke and sent me another pair which fit much better. Still a little gap present when installed but I don't think precipitation is getting in (sealed it with silicone)

2: They look decent. The OEM full m mirrors are much sleeker and smooth looking butcthe cap does give a unique look for cheaper.

3: Buy and use plastic trim tools to help remove the old cap. You can get a solid crap set from harbor freight for like 8 bucks. You'll end up using them for other projects most likely

Hope that helps! Below is how they look on mineral grey

Okay so it's actually not too easy to pull out. I had a friend with me at the time and we pulled it out together lol. But I remember pulling it at the corners first. You should feel it budge slightly

Also I didn't use tools. I'm not sure if it would help? Most likely tools would make it easier though

I bought the early CF ones and paid about $170 for a pair. They started to bubble at the top .

I bought a newer design, non CF, for $70 and painted them to match my car. So far so good.

eBay. They are fine but ok only had then for 1-2 months. The previous CF style I bought for way more money didn't show bubbling for at least 6 months or so.
