My biggest ride last year was 200km but like you I am an awful runner. I try and do 2 x 5k a week in the gym. Not even attempting it outside.

Best thing about not commuting is I haven't had to run from the car park to catch the train for two weeks. It's always 50/50 whether my heart rate comes back down before we get to Euston.
