Garage List
DMS Automotive B58 remap available

Finally DMS have posted the B58 remap is now available.

The remap brings power up to 430bhp.

I'm giving them a call tomorrow for a price.

30% from just a remap. Are DMS known for their optimistic figures?

This is one graph, but its american, so probably different as I have a graph on my MPPSK that states 382.

https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...&postcount=202

DervTech Tuning on facebook showed a figure of 444.9 at the flywheel on an M140i, but that was stage 2.

Have to say M3/M4 power from just a remap on a standard B58 engine sounds a tad optimistic to me as well; 400 I could believe but 430 sounds a lot!

Obviously rr figures need a pinch of salt but various tuning boxes are getting 400 plus so not that much of a stretch to get a bit more with a full remap?

I can't see why it's hard to believe really. Most places are saying the remap is 420-435bhp so somewhere in the middle is still a huge jump.

I'd say 400-420 stage 1 is a more realistic real power figure to expect but this is all guess work of course for now

We will see at the weekend as one of our own is going down there. They are planning on a stock car power run then after map. If the car does in fact gain very nearly 100bhp from the map I'll book mine in for the next weekend.

Looks good. Must still be a stack of potential in the B58 considering the info on the G20 shows 385bhp.

"M340i: all markets, B58, 385hp, automatic RWD (US only) and xDrive, delayed intro."
Taken from:
https://g20.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1213988

So considering a out of factory figure of 385 (And that BMW almost always under states the power figures), then 430 is not so far fetched.

Keeping my eye on this.

Edit: Just checked DMS website, and there is only states 401bhp.

They're unlikely to just drop the exact same B58 in the G20 without a few hardware tweaks to it though. The B58 in the G20 M340i might have a few differences to the one in the F30. The N57 in the F30 for example is a slight different revision to the one in the E90 where the Turbo, Intake manifold, Injectors, Cylinderhead and ECU are all different, which is why it makes more power before and after a tune. Cheers

The DMS site shows 401 because thats what the Powerizer claims and that's all they used to fit.

Looks like a couple of us are going down there on Saturday. I'll get mine done AFTER someone gets theirs done first. I want to see before/after stats and I'll gladly drive home standard if the gains aren't what are claimed.

Looking forward to seeing the outcome if anyone goes ahead with it in Saturday.

Anyone have any experience with MHD Tuning? Like what they seem to offer, but nothing for the B58 yet.

I know one person DEFINITELY is going through with it.
Even if it's only 400 they'd probably be content.

I'm just letting them show what numbers are possible
