EVAP code after catless downpipe

I installed a ER catless dp and I got a code shortly after even though I have o2 readings turned off with bm3. Anyone else get this code and know how to fix it ?

That's a generic code. Getting the BMW code will be more helpful.

I literally got the same code yesterday! Went to Autozone Yesterday to get it checked and I just my MPPSK installed on Friday..I'm thinking it may have something to do with that so just going to contact dealer since I have remaining warranty.

I'm gonna go over my downpipe today to see if theres any air gaps or open areas. My guess is they didn't secure it properly but if that's not it then I have no clue. I don't think it's anything too concerning

That is what it seems like brotha, from what I read online nothing serious so it seems okay to keep driving, it might just release emissions? Not sure about that

Odd, since I got mines installed at BMW one would expect a perfect job..

Yeah I did mine at a buddys shop so I was expecting something to go wrong but getting a CEL after a installation from BMW I would be annoyed !

Did you ever figure out what was wrong? Mine was simple, it was some cap I believe and it is covered under warranty so just have to bring my car back to dealership when the part arrives. Magically the engine light disappeared the day before I took it the dealership but they caught the problem still.

EVAP has nothing to do with the downpipe or catalytic converter. It is an emissions requirement to burn fuel vapor. A lot of people get that code. You probably need to replace the valve. It's #1 in this diagram, runs right on top of the intake manifold.

BMW's DMTL is garbage. Although, that's not the code I got when my fuel breather valve went bad.
