Without knowing the exact name of the id e.g. NAVD_000004D3_255_002_045, but if I had to take an educated guess for NORTH AMERICA PREMIUM 2015-1 and 2015-2 it would be:

Hi I have downloaded North America Premium 2015-2, however, the BMW_CIC_NBT_FSC_Generator I have does not carry this map, what am I supposed to do?

Followed those instructions:
Generating FSC code for CIC systems, copy fsc.exe in the "CIC_FSC" to "tools"
Generating FSC code for NBT systems, copy fsc.exe in the "NBT_FSC" to "tools"

Drag and dropped my base64 encoded FSC into the GUI and selected the correct map, clicked GENERATE.

It didnt work the first time, I didnt put the correct VIN in the file name, this seems important since I changed it to the correct VIN, tried it again and my NAV accepted the code without problems.

Hey
When I use SWID Reader (those 4 .prg files are copied to ediabas folder), I can connect to car, read its VIN but when I click read FSC nothing is read.
Can you give me a hint?

There are 2 SWID readers, one for CIC (1B) and one for NBT (DE).

You probably have the wrong version.

Hey guys, btw I am new here. I have read the this thread over and over but still don't really get how to generate the FSC code. What I have done is used Esys to generate FSC using one of the steps mentioned in a post above, which is the file with a lot of symbol and long numbers, and then rename it to a.hex and used (fsc.bat) to generate code, and what I get is this:

"MAP FSC for Europe: 2UEOZFSKXA6NCABIAACQ"
while I am trying to update it to NA 2015-2

When I tried to plug in the code in the navigation on the update, it says incorrect code.

Just in case it is important, my car is a 2014 F30 and I use XP mode in my Windows 7 64-bit

I will also attach the file that I got from my car through esys, just delete the pdf. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you

I am having trouble creating a code that works for NTB North America 2015-2

When I generate the code using the values below, it will not accept.
I have a 2014 BMW i3, I was able to update to 2015-1 without needing a FSC code, but is asking for one for 2015-2

fsc a.hex 0xA8 0x06 > code.txt
C:\EC-Apps\code.txt
MAP FSC for ???: RMD35IOLP5BE4AFIAADA

fsc a.hex 0x28 0x06 > code.txt
MAP FSC for Europe: M5JET52AH6XUEABIAACQ

1) You are using CIC Gen when you should be using NBT Gen.

2) 0xA8 0x06 is North America NEXT 2015-1. You need to use 0xA8 0x07 for 2015-2.

Not sure I under stand your comment on CIC or NTB, but I did the following using 0xDE (App ID222 for NBT)

Base variant 0x63 (For HU_CIC or HU_NBT)
Click Identify
Application ID 0x1B for (App ID 27 for CIC) 0xDE (App ID222 for NBT) <--- This is the App for your Nav enabler
Upgrade Index 0x1

Move Store FSC from the left to the right
Click Read
Click Save and name the file FXXXXXX_0001B001.fsc for CIC or FXXXXXX_000DE001.fsc for NBT where FXXXXXX is your VIN.

I did also try that,
fsc a.hex 0xA8 0x07 > code.txt
MAP FSC for ???: RZKG6A3RT5ALOAFIAADQ

Is there a problem that it shows ??? instead of NORTH AMERICA Next 2015?

I'm I doing something wrong? Any help would be appreciated, I have been working on this for hours without any luck. Hopefully I am missing something simple.

Did you skip over this:

1) You are using CIC Gen when you should be using NBT Gen.

RZKG6A3RT5ALOAFIAADQ is what you will get using wrong CIC Gen. You must use NBT Gen.

Sorry, this is my first time trying to do this, so I am confused about CIC and NBT, it there a different tool I use, or should I be using 0x1B instead of 0xDE?

You should have 2 different generator executables (.e.g. CIC.exe and NBT.exe), and a GUI / Wrapper that invokes one of them as needed. You need to make sure that it is invoking the NBT one and not the CIC one.

With NBT Gen, DE File, and 0xA8 0x07, you will get what you need.

So I only have fsc.exe, fsc.bat, b64dec.exe, and FSC_Generator.exe. I do not have a CIC.exe and NBT.exe. Can you provide a link to the NBT.exe and any other necessary files needed to create my fsc code?
