only sometimes hear turbo spool from exhaust

So I am currently running a catless DP, FMIC, GFB DV+, charge pipe, and MHD in my 2013 335i. when adding the DP you can hear the turbo spool from the exhaust, which sounds amazing, but I only hear it sometimes. it's the loudest when I first start driving the car, but seems to be quiter or not their at all other times. is it just me not hearing it? I've rolled down the windows + turned the radio off and it's just not their, car drives fine and pulls like it should.

If you really want to hear it you'll need to add an intake and get rid of the stock box

^ changing your intake to open box cone will let you hear more spool. I have CTS turbo intake and it's actually the loudest you can get. Definitely hear allot more of spool, swish sounds

I mean on the exhaust side of things, I actually have an AFE intake just waiting for the correct filter to arrive, but the spool sound that specifically comes from the exhaust. shouldn't I always here it? or is it sometimes just not as loud? I would think it would be the same sound at all times depending on RPM/engine speed.

BMW has gone through lots of R&D to lessen cabin noise and engine bay noise. So unlike other cars you might of had in the past, you will not hear the turbo spool with just a upgraded exhaust.

Remove the engine cover and add a open air intake to really hear the turbo spool.

Mine makes the sound only in sport/sport+, similar mods to you with catless and remus exhaust.
