Yes, mandrel bends are Mandrel bends, it will sound the same as long as the metal used isn't too far off in its properties.

Eg. Galvanized steel won't sound the same as top tier stainless, or titanium. They vibrate much different and it changes the tone.

Many argue that galvanized/mild steel sounds less tinny than stainless. I would consider SS if you are worried about corrosion though

Go titanium if you want to get rid of rasp while deepening the tone of the exhaust. The heat waves that are reflected from the titanium when it turns the bluish color effects the sound waves making them clash together for a deeper tone. It's almost a V8 sound but a little higher pitched. Also no way that a muffler shop straight pipe will NOT sound like a Meisterschaft unless they import in the same metal that Meisterschaft uses which last I heard was discontinued due to many of the workers dying from a toxic fume that was used on it to get the distinct tone it has.

So i had a muffler shop do a muffler delete and stuff, now i have the meisterschaft SGT Ti exhaust, and i can tell you that while driving it sounds pretty different. Midrange is slightly higherpiched and IMO it sounds overall cleaner and better.
