Leather Care

I have a 2013 328i xDrive and typically when I clean my leather it's around every month or so I use Adams Leather Cleaner & Leather Conditioner but when applying the conditioner, I notice the black residue coming off the seats. Is this due to the color of the leather wearing off or is it normal? Does anyone recommend something different for conditioning? Not trying to do anything to expensive

Does it come off all the seats or just the drivers seat? Seat bottom only? Because it could just be the dye from your blue jeans. Otherwise, I'd say use a different cleaner.

It is from all seats. ill try and find something different or get in touch with Adams CS and see if anyone else has had the problem on the certain leather

I use BMW's own leather care set. Expensive and probably not any better than most but I hope it is at least compatible with the leather

Any leather cleaner with a terry clothe. Then for protectant i use 303 protectant with micro fabric. Awesome stuff. Search up 303 and read others reviews.

I wouldnt bother putting any conditioners on the leather. The top coat of the leather is painted rather then dyed and really does not require any conditioners, other then a wipe with a damp microfibre cloth.

You'll find all the stuff you're putting on is lifting the color and only harming the leather

Using Zaino Brothers Leather Cleaner and Conditioner for years on BMW leather seats and steering wheels and never lifted any color, just dirt, etc. Don't be too aggressive/to much pressure with whatever cleaner/conditioner you chose to use.
