Ive seen a few here with 19x9.5 ET35 255/35/19 no rub, however one with 18x9.5 ET33 said he thinks ET35 will rub. Since rim width is measured between the bead seats and rim lip edges may have different design and thickness, theres a possibilty 9.5 ET35 could rub. A 3mm spacer would fix it but also 3mm more poke.

I believe 8.5 antler is ET30. Since it is narrower and pokes more, there will not be a strut-rub problem, however a 255 shoulder will poke a few mm past flush and if it is broader than average, may be close to or graze the fenderwell liner while turning full lock.

245/40/18-275/35/18 will fit perfectly, but look nicer with eibach pro-kit lowering.

235/45/18-265/40/18 taller sidewalls will have the effect of reducing wheel gaps if unlowered.

Oops, I'm new to the forum and didn't realize that your reply went over to the second page. I'm just seeing this. Unfortunately, I ordered all the parts (see my previous reply).. should I cancel the order or should I take a risk and see if it fits?

IF the front rubs, a 3mm spacer and (3mm) longer lug bolts from Apex will resolve it

i still think it will be super close but will NOT rub. here are a few others with 19x9.5 ET35 with 255/35/19 up front, which has virtually the same 3-Dimensional footprint as 255/40/18 on 18x9.5 ET35

That is so close. In the video, the guy says hitting a pothole messed up his alignment and got his wheel rubbing with the strut.. that is a situation that I would NEED to avoid. I live in a city and hit potholes very often (there's nothing I can do about it at night when I can't see them and it's too late) - do you think this could cause rubbing? will it require constant alignment?

if you hit a pothole and your suspension goes "out of whack", you'll need an alignment regardless of the tire/wheel specs.

18's and 26" conti DWS06 will already provide more impact protection than an equivalent 19.

i'd stay with the plan. however if you are that paranoid about it and are able to cancel without penalty, then 235/45/18(26.3")-265/40/18(26.3") on 18x8.5-18x9.5 would have the more cushion for you. fit without issue, be somewhat lighter on it's feet. you could conceivably run 245/45/18(26.7")-275/40/18(26.6") for total beefiness, though 245/45/18 at ET30 might graze-rub the fenderwell tab while turning full lock.

Picked up the tires from TireRack today. Wheels should be delivered later today and I also have an appointment at Discount Tire.

Hopefully everything fits (fingers crossed). Will keep y'all posted.

Ok good news (with a little scare in the middle) folks

Good news is everything fits and there is a few mm (I'd estimate about 6-7mm) between the wheel inner lip and strut.

The scare was they accidentally mounted the +45 offset in the front and it was rubbing against the strut so they said I would need spacers (which they were surprisingly offering to install as long as I purchased them from somewhere else and brought them in).

So yes it fits. They are mounting tires right now. Can't recommend discount tire enough. It was $92 for installing TPMS, mounting tires and wheels to car, swapping center caps. AND these employees know their wheels

Will post pics after I am in possession of the car again. I will also create a new thread so others can benefit from all this experimenting haha.

Thank you very much for your help alohasurftoad you are the GOAT

thx for the photos! fitment looks perfect and clean af. we can now refer other members considering similar specs to this thread.

it appears you need Eibach Pro-Kit and F80 bumpstops, next. here is an F36 with the said setup.

man, that looks sick lowered and I'm sure it'll help with cornering/handling too.

I unfortunately can't since I have an extended warranty on the car and I'm almost sure they will consider this a "modification" and void the contract if anything ever goes wrong. Can't go catless either for the same reason + I'm in an emissions county.

I'm already running BM3 Stg1 but know a shop owner who deals with Route 66 and won't snitch about the tune / I'll just flash it back to stock.

Point is unfortunately I can't have any "physical" mods that are visible since if the extended warranty company sends out an inspector and they notice suspension mods they will almost always cancel the warranty and deny any claims (even if it's not related)..

I am a little scared about the wheels even, I've heard of them cancelling contracts due to to non-OEM size wheels/tires.. might have to pop the OEMs back on if they send out an inspector.

Oh...my bad

M-Performance suspension is an OEM 10mm lowering with higher performance dampers, from the factory..it may not sound like much but it help appearance quite a bit. i have this myself and admit, it's a bit pricey for 10mm.
