m3 / m4 launch

Here are some pics I took today at the launch of the new m3 / m4, my local-ish the dealership asked if they could use the e21 as part of the display.

It was well funny watching the reaction of the sales people. it was like they haven't seen an old bmw before Cant wait to drive in the m3/4 tomorrow.

anyway

Needs to see some more pics of brighter colours but the new M3/4 look a bit "ordinary". Drive great I'm sure though.

How come some E21's have twin headlights and some have single?

Just been to my local dealer and they had some M cars delivered and M3 white with black wheels with a gorgeous red(not the standard coral) seats an M4 black Shakir orange and Estoril blue M5's. As much as I love coupe's the M3 looked the best to me, both the M3/M4 61k with the optional extras which is a lot for a 3series but you get a lot better materials used inside like carbon fibre trim or that beautiful leather even on the door handles. The 4GC looks pretty good too they had one in white.

Gold you say... Some might describe it as pi$$ yellow .

I wasn't that taken with the colour but as it was the launch colour, it will be popular. I'd like to be brave enough to try the orange on an M3.

drove an m4 today. its the noise it makes. much deeper note then previous straight sixes. its actually rather fast but not as fast as I thought it would be. it needs 100hp more tbh

e21 in poverty spec came with singles the higher spec ones came with twins. I have both kinds but run singles

To be honest as you have a 335d, I'm not surprised at your comments with regards performance. It'll fly after 70mph no doubt, but that is a risk on HM highways of course.
But then you dont just buy an M3/4 for the performance.

Had a look in the dealers today. White M4 and black M3. I reckon the M3 looks the nicer car, the rear arches look pretty aggressive. Black in the M3 did hide the lines a bit, reckon a white one would be nicer.
