Update: G20 M340i Style Grill Installed

So that didnt take China too long to make F10/F30 grills styled after the G20 M340i.

Edit:
Gave them a shot
https://www.ebay.com/itm/For-BMW-F30...QAAOSw~cldTXzb

Overall impressions are they are more sturdy that photos look. Fitment is spot on and the top black solid section is not really noticeable at all. These are a little "busy" but its a different look and goes with the lower grill opening as well. The shape of them are overall flatter than the slat version grills. If you want the diamonds to standout i would suggest getting the other version and not the gloss black version. For the price its a nice change but if you already have gloss black single or double, i'd say stick with those.

Unboxing:
Well wrapped in bubble wrap and foam sleeve for each and then a foam divider between the two

Front:

Back:

Comparison to the double slat:

Installed photos (please dont mind the dirty car as it just rained):

They really don't look half bad.

That's because someone photoshopped the true m340i grill in that photo. the angle of the diamond "slats" is off.

Nice. Not sure about that top line on it though.

I get wanting the new look from a cosmetic point of view, but looking closely at the back of those aftermarket grilles....they look REALLY flimsy from a practical standpoint.

That looks much better without the closed/blocked off portion at the top edge. Where is that variant from?

The cross plastic looks REALLY flimsy. Seems it would offer far less protection to the areas behind it (they would snap easily) than the current vertical slats.

They will be here tomorrow so I will find out. I do agree it looks flimsy so I am more curious than anything about them. Maybe it'll look good. Maybe it won't. I figured it was worth a shot. Have had the double slat (I know I know not an m car )and loved the look (badgeless of course) for 4 years now. Figured it was time to change it up aesthetically. If spending $50 means I don't need to get a new car because I'm bored with the current it's worth it.

Looking forward to see how it looks on your car. I have the single slat black right now and considering changing to double slat or perhaps even g20 style if it looks good.

I did not go with the ones from that poster. I went with the original link I posted. I had previously ordered something else from him and was unhappy with it so he cut me a deal on these

I just received my set of the "better" looking ones from TaranF32's post (more dense pattern and minimal blocked off top) the other day. The diamond pattern weave has a lot of depth to it material-wise and is quite strong. The overall pattern is more rigid than the OE slats.

If I get around to installing them this weekend (some other projects have priority) I'll post a video.

Here's my experience/overview (including construction comparison) with the denser pattern G20 style grille:
