12v socket
Hi, I would like to add a 12v socket in the boot of my 420 coupe, on the right side the panel pops off and battery is here, how easy is this? Anyone done it?
I believe extended storage option comes with boot socket but don't know where it's located. Any help/advice great fully received |

Like Fronzdan said, it should be easy. You can pick up a tap a fuse pigtail at your local auto parts. This lets you use an existing fuse slot while giving you an extra fused lead. For a power outlet I suggest you go with 20 amps. Make sure you have a good ground.
Good luck with this.

I have '14 F30 and have a 12v cigarette lighter-like socket in my trunk. It is located on the driver's side (left hand as you look forward) on the inside of the recess above the "shelf" and ahead of the taillight assembly.
Hope that helps
