POWER!!!! ( As Clarkson would say!)

Hello guys!

I've the n47 320d ED 163hp stock engine..
Stage 1 210bhp 400nm
Now I know the boxes can only handle around the 440nm mark before gets dangerous you hardly ever see any videos of tuning or decent mods done to get more power,
Am I stuck with this power until I get a bigger engine or is there anything I can do? Maybe stage 2? I've a dpf delete ( egr delete unknown can find out tho ) no smoke currently rolling road mapped etc..
If I could get the 240 bhp mark and 430nm mark I'd be pretty happy tbh its quick now but want to maximise what I can get before I upgrade car..

I think you can easily obtain 240 from the msport models but aint they the same engines just detuned? Why am I not able to obtain this i know the gear ratios on the ED are longer due to the efficency side of things is anyone know if the manual msports have the same gearboxs? If so would it be a case of a new map with the new gearbox in or would I have to mess with other things like ecu etc ? In a ideal world I wouldn't have too but all I hear is its just detuned so what would the process be? If I had to swap ecu surely that would mess with the key side of things etc etc..

If I was to stick a turbo on it would it be possible to cap it at 240ish? That wouldn't be much of a big job to do with my tuner and would make life alot easier..

seems very limited on my side of things.. any inputs highly appreciated

I will conclude that this is in regards to F30, not E9x.

There's quite a bit of variability in the info above.
The 320d and 320d ED have the same gearbox and differential per realOEM. They also use the same turbo and fuel injection system. Yes, it's just software that keeps it to 163hp.

210hp is very low for a tune, considering the non detuned versions are at 181hp. I'd almost say that you may want to find a different tuner.
These can be tuned to over 250hp on stock components. The 8hp gearbox will not blow up at 460Nm.

Yes I did see online at some generic quotes of stage 2 with a downpipe and IC can get the 240 mark and around 480nm something along them longs so may look into that..

With that being said enabled my friend went to the same tuner and was able to receive 225 and 440nm on the automatic version of the same car on a stage 1 with dpf deleted.. so unsure of what the issue was with mine
