Does anyone know if USB external portable hard drive can be used for maps update instead of USB flash/pen drive? Has anyone tried?

If it is an SSD Drive and Fat32 Formatted, it should work. It will not work with a mechanical hard drive as USB Port will not provide enough power to spin the platters.
