Selling PTF Bootmod3 License for $450

Right now I am flashed to Stage 1 91 Octane on stock hardware. Was doing some thinking and since I spent 3k on the extended warranty, I am just going to flash the car back to stock and sell the license if anyone is interested.

Just so you know, if the car was already flashed and something truly catastrophic happens, BMW can probably figure out that it had been tuned at one point. Although, going back to stock and locking it now and driving it that way would probably make it easier to file a warranty claim on the engine down the road if necessary.

Also, the Bootmod3 license is only transferrable ONE time. The next buyer cannot transfer it to a new car, or to a new person. Once it's registered to another F30, that's it, it stays with that car forever. So it's up to the next buyer to decide if it's worth spending $450 for a one time use license or $600 for one that can be sold once they're done with it.

Yeah I totally don't mind having the tune on the car regardless of the warranty claim. I am just putting it out if someone's a hardcore fan

So if someone buys it, if not, that's fine too as I don't have any issues with it. But good point, I actually didn't know that it's only one time transfer. My warranty is through third party though so I am just hoping for good things

If it's third party, you might be good then. I think most dealerships only flag warranty claims for tunes if BMW has to pay for warranty service. I doubt any third party warranty service would be able to figure out if your car had a tune or not.

Yes!!! I was thinking the same and also it's with Route66. Well first of all I hope I don't run into anything crazy and then I hope they cover whatever that may happen down the road, if ever lol.

I was about to purchase a Route 66 EW (actually did) but once actual contract came in and I went through it twice, I immediately cancelled going elsewhere for a full refund.

IK6SPEED: Who did you go with then? Also, do you always have to roll financing in with these warranties, or can you buy them after your car is paid off?

I actually made the purchase after reading a lot of good reviews here about them and most of them always got their cars fixed so I am hoping they will stick by if and ever I need any claim. What did you end up buying or still looking?
