For MY2014 you can get them here with M-Sport package (FINALLY) for $650.

As every other BMW part, they also have a part number and can be ordered as "repair" part. Just because it's not factory installed doesn't mean you can't order that and have that installed.
The Blue once for the 328i should be: Left front = 34 11 6 799 469 Right front = 34 11 6 799 470 Left back = 34 21 6 799 461 Right back = 34 21 6 799 462 (as far as I could see) Natrurally additional other parts are needed. But your dealer would know. |

Wish I could have got them for mine, but I'm planning on upgrading to the red M Performance ones later. I do like that they should stand out more than the blue.

I read a couple of reviews that found little to no difference in performance to stock brakes.
Why not spend the money on Brembos? |

Which reviews and in what scenario are they reviewing the brakes for? In daily driving, I would imagine that it would not matter but I'm wondering about the value of a $650 option vs having to spend > $2000 on an aftermarket setup if need be for the track.

Have them on our 435Xi and have been searching for ceramic pads that fit with no luck. They do stop very well but boy, do they generate a lot of dust!

lol, i can make a real life review, in terms of stopping power and feel they feel identical as stock 335 brakes, as they are both 4piston brembos up front. but the msport one creates a lot more brake dust. when it comes to on track performance that is where it shines, the stock 335 brakes tends to overheat after 2-3 laps of lapping. for the msport brakes it didnt overheat.

Of course these brakes won't be suited for serious track use, but even not many high-performance car's OEM brakes are. |

You won't notice any difference in clamping force (60-0 or 100-0 times) in a 335/435 with these vs the standard brakes but they will be much more resistant to fade.

Second, the M Performance Brake Kit is entirely made by Brembo for BMW. The kit consists of Brembo 4-piston fixed front calipers and Brembo 2-piston fixed rear calipers. When I had my F30 M Sport 335i, I upgraded to the M Performance Brakes. When you get a Sport or M Sport F30 335i, the car comes with fixed 4-piston Brembo calipers up front (non-painted) and single-piston sliding rear calipers at the back (Base and Luxury 335i cars might have them too but I only mentioned what I was certain of). The standard rotors have no drilling or slotting present. When you upgrade to the M Performance Brakes, you get the same 4-piston fixed Brembo calipers up front (now painted in either red, yellow/gold, or orange), and the rear calipers are upgraded to 2-piston fixed Brembo calipers. Furthermore, with the MPB, you get rotors with dimpling (partial drilling but not full cross-drilling) and slotting. These features both help with keeping the brakes cool by venting hot gasses away from the surface of the rotors. During daily driving, the two different brake setups may feel similar. This is likely due to the fact that both setups have the same front calipers. In addition, while the M Performance rotors are dimpled and slotted, they are no bigger than the "standard" rotors. As others have said, when tracking the car, the dimpling and slotting on the M Performance rotors, in conjunction with the larger rear calipers, will both help to mitigate brake fade. Finally, the biggest difference I noticed between the standard brakes and M Performance Brakes was the pedal feel. With the latter, the pedal felt much less like an "on/off" switch. Instead, you could modulate the brake pedal and be more precise with how much speed you trimmed. In short, the pedal feel was more linear and progressive. To those not used to BBKs, this may feel unusual because you may have to get deeper into the pedal to get more bite but trust me, as you do get deeper into the pedal, the bite is definitely there.

Try the body shop?
I got the body shop at the dealership to paint my stock M-Sport brakes blue for $120. Got the look that I wanted, and, since it's the dealership's shop, they can paint your brakes any stock color you want! Valencia orange, Melbourne red, M-performance blue, Alpine white etc. Look into that if you're not crazy about spending more money on a BBK, which the M-Sports come with anyway.

When you want to purchase a winter setup, they ask to see if you have the M Performance or not. When you have the M Performance, you're not able to install 17" as a winter setup. If it's not the case, I may be tempted to install M Performance brake after all...
