WeatherTech vs. BMW All Weather Floor Mats
Hello all-
Does anyone have experience with the WeatherTech all weather floor mats? Or with the BMW All Weather floor mats? Thank you! |

Have the Weathertech Mats in the 328d and the BMW All Weather mats in the 328xiGT...both are great fit and quality. I would give the nod to the weathertech mats for their ability to contain larger spills and protect the carpet along the sides (not just on the floor)...plus, they aren't much more expensive than the BMW mats so its worth it. We had the all weather ones included in our deal so we would have gone weathertech otherwise.

As far as I know, WeatherTech does make OEM mats for BMW...
BMW has a couple of different kinds of all-weather mats... if it's the one that looks like WeatherTech mats (not the thick rubbery ones), then it's the exact same thing. My wife's X3 has the BMW-branded WeatherTech mats, and I have the WeatherTech mats ordered directly from WeatherTech for my 328 GT ... Exact same things. |

Thank you both! Arktcr, you supported my thoughts regarding the coverage of the WeatherTech mats. I think I'm going to go with those as they should be more efficient with keeping the sand out!

I like the OEM stuff better. I have purchased both of Weathertech's lines (the regular mats and the ones with the lip to contain fluids).
I will not be buying again. Not impressed. For my E90 at least they are definitely NOT the same, and the OEM all weather ones we have in our F34 are nothing like any of the Weathertech products I've seen.

I got my WeatherTech a couple of weeks ago and must say that I'm impressed with the fit. Especially in the back where they cover the tunnel as well. They also look great! They'll be great during the Swedish winter!

I had always used the OEM. This time the dealer threw in the weather tech mats. I like the rear ones as they cover the "hump". The front tray ones seem to be doing a good job of catching the winter muck, better than the OEM ones have done on past cars.
I also have the Weathertech cargo mat. It is like past OEM ones, but very much unlike the new BMW one. In fact I have the BMW one sitting in my basement! The BMW one looks better, but the other has a better lip for catching spills. |
