I still don't understand why it's coming out in July 2012 and not when the standard F30 gets released...

1) iDrive screen looks like hell. It really does not look integrated with the interior. The double scoop may not have been the best but its much better than a protrusion from your dash.
2) don't like steering wheel but to each his own 3) the 5 series like shifter...have any of you used it? it sucks...SUCKS. I would have rather had a 6MT but my e90 steptronic shifter is much better than that. 4) center console kinda wide but this is jus griping 5) steering wheel controls not very ergonomic, look like something out of a hyundai accent. It just seems like they didn't know how to IMPROVE on e90 so they just said...lets make it "different" Edit: I am by no means saying that the e90 is the most advanced looking sedan out there, but this thing looks like it comes out of some 1980's futuresque sic-fi flick |

I like the new design. Going to be a great platform for aftermarket companies to develop products for. I especially like the fact that BMW is going back to a driver oriented cockpit.

I think this interior blows e90's interior out of the water.....by a long margin. The new Msport steering wheel looks fantastic.
I would love to have F30 328i X-drive Msport in a few years. BTW, as it has been the trend lately, BMW's exterior and interior design polarizes people's opinions. Some love it, others hate it. At the end of the day, it will sell big. Some people might stick with their e90/92s or go with other car brand, but others may return to BMW or some new customers will be attracted. I personally need to see the exterior in person to draw better conclusions/form opinion, but the interior I love a lot even from just the photos. |

the design will grow on people when you start seeing it in the flesh, i really dont like the bonnet line however! reason for why LEDs have gone because its DATED. they are working on a laser type lighting with the angel eyes sort of thing, take a look at the i8 concept, theres no leds. the new models just illuminated strokes to resemble their direction.

They did it for single reason cheaper and to keep LEDs for the LCI. Same as on E90 E92. The e46 finished as LCI with LED indicators and break lights this did not come back until LCI. Why cost and also to give them something to do with LCI rnage. they are running out of ideas And dont get it started on the M sport wheel. Maybe it will look better in real life but on phone it works on Z cars but not a 3

Thanks Now that I see it, I thinking the orange looks a little better. It's not bad though. I think white would look great, but that'll step on the M3's territory.

Btw I don't like the hood, cut line make it look flat and no go with the body line. It like flat face.
Can't they make it like E92 << this one is best looking so far and BMW make worst progress since. |

Anyway, another question from my end, did anyone see the light strips on the side-mirrors active? I've seen the video of Autobilt (if I remember correctly), he used his blinkers but the side-mirrors did not show any activity. One momento, I'll find the video to show you guys. I was really WTF'd yesterday watching that. Edit: Check this video, at 01:47. Blinkers being used without side-mirror blinking in any way? Or is it just me? Any exterior light should be led(headlights are the only exception)...fog lights, turn signals front and read, break lights...all should be led in 2012. This isn't 1965. lol
