Talking Audi A3 sedan luxury car abstinence commercials :)

Looks like Audi launched their A3 sedan marketing. Pretty funny.

ha that's funny stuff.
Here's the official page: http://www.audiusa.com/models/audi-a3

The S3 is going to be some serious competition for the M235i. S-tronic DSG, LED headlights/tail-lights, B&O sound, diamond stitch leather, those boner inducing wheels... The M235i will probably be straight-line faster and drive better, but the S3 looks great.

Agreed, the S3 looks great. Too bad it's Haldex and not traditional quattro though.

The A3 has a panoramic roof, leather, and xenons - standard at the $29,900 price point.

That's like $3500 in options on a 3 series, and that's with just a regular roof, not a pano.

This car is going to be a game changer and I think this one will end up dominating the entry level segment.

Those things won't be standard, or the base price won't be that low. A GTI is more expensive than that.

Don't forget that the A3 is also fwd and adding Haldex to at least get some power to the rear will increase the cost too. Knowing Audi, "quattro" will be lumped in with other extra cost options too.

Already confirmed (end of first paragraph):

http://www.audiusanews.com/newsrelea...-2015-a3&mid=1

Yeah it will definitely be FWD, you will certainly have to pony up more for Quattro, but this is going to be a very loaded car at $40k even with quattro. This car will also come with the S-tronic standard, no crappy CVT like the A4. Currently the difference between a FWD/CVT A4 and an 8AT/Quattro A4 is only $2100; figure you're already getting an S-tronic, so to go from FWD to Quattro on the A3 will certainly be less than $2k.

Figure $32k with destination and Quattro along with S-tronic, xenons, LED tails, panoramic roof, and leather standard, another $1000 for the sweet 14 speaker B&O sound system, heated seats for $500, ~$1500 for S-line, and you've got nearly every big ticket item for around $35k. Add nav for $2k if you really want it, and there will probably be some premium package with a bunch of junk like a garage door opener and power seats for $3k, and you will still be under $40k.

Meanwhile, BMW still puts shitty halogens on $50k+ cars, and so does Mercedes. Maybe it will be Audi who's finally the leader here making xenons standard across all models after this. Certainly took long enough for someone to do it.

Yep, that is an issue. Although if the Mk7 GTI can have a supposedly awesome-o front diff, will the S3/A3 have it as well?

Is it really FWD standard? I thought Audi only did AWD.

Weird that they left the R off of the badge. You'd think they'd know their own product.

Steering wheel too. RS cars are really sneaky.

Good lord this S3 has my attention! If I could get a fully loaded one for around $40k that would be a nice surprise. I wonder just how "cozy" the dimensions are though?

Audi offer FWD on all standard A models. Even the A8 (although I'm not sure the latest generation is).

Car seems alright, but the ad shows how much class Audi as a brand lack - they're pretty much scum in my opinion, this isn't the first time they've used this tactic and it's childish. I hope BMW don't respond.
