F30 burger motorsport wheel spacer problem

I received some burger motorsport wheel spacers for my F30 335i and upon fitting the 10mm spacer to the rear of the car the outer lipped edge that centralises the rim has broken in half
Does anyone know if the wheel spacers are different front - rear ??
I have the same specs printed on the spacer housing between a 10mm spacer and a 15mm spacer
Any help would be much appreciated

Do you mean the hubcentric locating ring?

The thinner ones 10mm or less I have seen crack off due to having less metal, usually lower quality ones and when using an automotive/tyre shop rattle gun, which I think has the tendency to crush the aluminium. 5mm spacers don't have the ring because they are too thin and the wheel hub ring protrudes through anyway.

I wonder if spacers should only be tightened by hand.

You might be able to claim it back on warranty. Fronts are same as rears.

Yes that is correct. After some further research i found information stating that Burger Motorsport <10mm wheel spacers do not fit on the rear. Hence the damaged caused during fitment of the rim.
I only use a rattle gun to remove the wheen nuts and then hand tighten on refitment.

**2012-Present F30 and F31 3 Series sedan vehicles only. 12mm+ is the smallest thickness spacer this vehicle may use in the rear. Front can fit any thickness spacer. This only applies 2012-Present F30 and F31 vehicles. This is due to too tall of a rear factory hub.

Ok that's good to know. I haven't tried putting the spacers from our E91 on our F31 yet.
