Genuine 18" 400m with Michelin Tyres *SOLD*
I've got some genuine 18" BMW 400M alloys in Ferric Grey with fronts wrapped in MPSS and rears wrapped in MP4S.
The tyres are in good condition apart from a chunk I took out near the edge of the rim on the drivers front - I'll put a picture up to show), 6mm tread left on the fronts and 5mm tread left on the rear. The alloys need repairing, unfortunately I'm out of warranty so can't claim from BMW. My question essentially is, should I spend some money repairing before selling, or would someone want them as in so they can repair and get whichever colour they wanted rather than my choice? I see they go for around £300-400 with winter tyres and some kerbing, so wondering: a) I sell them as is for relatively cheap with decent tyres? or b) get them refurbished and sell them for a bit more (but would it be worth the cost)? If anyone is interested, please let me know, I'm looking at a new set of wheels which I'll be getting end of June.

Just a quick question, can you claim if your alloys have the deterioration around the bmw badges ? I have bought the extended warranty but the comprehensive one. Thank you in advance. Cars 4 years old

I think you're better off selling them as is, the 400m style don't fetch strong money. I have a set similar to yours, the wheels have some kerbing but the tyres are excellent Goodyear runflats and they come with TPMS. I'm going to try for around £400 as is.
What replacement set of wheels do you have/are you getting?

You mention around the centre caps, they will probably fob off your claim and push blame towards tyre fitters/garages if your wheels have ever been taken off. When centre caps are taken off/put back on and even when the wheel is mounted for new tyres, any slight nick on the inside of the centre can cause water ingress which leads to corrosion and they won't cover that as a material defect but rather wear and tear related. Good luck

I've opted for some 19" 763m reps from c.m.wheels, wrapped in MP4S. Fitting is on Friday from Costco they've currently got £100 off a set of 4. Then all I need is to source some new centre caps.
