This is true. I'm only at 23k miles but I was really hoping for the plug and play B16 damptronic coilovers but those seem even further away.

Bilstein would likely do really well if they're the only ones selling edc coils that plug and play with the stock system
KW DDC dampers is the only available option for plug and play adaptive dampers now
They aren't plug and play from my knowledge. The require running a switch into the cabin. The OEM switch sort button function will no longer change the suspension.

Unless theirs a different product out now
You?re mistaking with KW DDC ECU model which adds an ecu that works with that additional cabin switch.

I?m talking about their KW DDC plug and play product; I have them so i know
To clarify you're correct the have the product line but nothing for f30 340i at least

I wonder if those are compatible
Try to email them they generally answer quite quickly

Edit: almost forgot but someone over the 2 series forum fitted these to his m240i so seems to be compatible

Seems as if it's not available in US. Listing is not on web for any f30/f22 application. Major bummer

You've got it here for instance:
https://www.turnermotorsport.com/p-2...235i-with-edc/
Same part number for 340 and 335 on KW website

Interesting option on the KWs. I also saw those coil overs but the description was very misleading. I thought that the dampening on the KW coils were controlled by a separate remote or in this case an app. The turner website description didn't really make it seem like it was plug and play but the KW site did. I may def have to look into the KWs now.

Well you have both options, the KW DDC ECU comes with an additional ecu that taps the CAN bus, and can be controlled with the app, which is neat if you want suspension that you can control from the phone.

If however like us you have EDC from factory they have the KW DDC Plug and Play that connects to the original harness, which is what I did.

Also what is the lowering range? It's says up to 40 mm front and up to 35mm rear. Curious to know what tallest setting is

I'd say tallest setting is a good 20mm below stock M / adaptive-M suspension, not a very scientific assessment but there you go

KW support told me I could use higher springs and gave me references, but that it wouldn't be warrantied or TÜV-approved, so stayed with tallest settings with original kit, which is 99% fine but a bit low in some circumstances.

Check out this thread, mine looks similar to the pictures in the first post:

Yr links are for Billy B16 RC c/overs for cars w/o EDC only and has been available for a long time.

AFAIK B16 RC cannot be integrated into a car with OE EDC, hence the difference to the still long awaited OE EDC PnP Billy B16 Damptronic [DT].

KW DDC can be opted either to integrate into OE EDC as PnP or standalone for non EDC cars via smartphone app

Thank you for the clarification. I don't have EDC; so, I've been looking for a solution. Sorry for you guys who do that you've had to wait so long for an upgrade.

For those of us stateside - Looks like we can get the B6 Damptronic shocks and struts on tire rack.

Seems like a good option for those of us looking for a performance upgrade but not willing to lower the car.

Do these shocks work with vehicles equipped with DHP suspension? Just wanted to confirm.

nice find. i did see that the B6 damptronic shocks were popping up on sites. may be a matter of time until the B16 damptronic can be released.

However, now that someone brought up the KW DDC coils are PnP options for EDC cars that is kinda what i was looking for in these Bilsteins. Just didn't know there were any other options besides the Bilsteins.

yes, the B6 damptronic shocks would be a direct replacement for OEM DHP equipped cars.

I am hoping the B8 version becomes available soon for the xi with adaptive suspension. I have held off getting lowering springs such as a Dinan or ACS until the B8 or some alternative comes to market. I am afraid the lowered brings on the stock adaptive suspension will wear out the struts to quickly and negatively impact the suspension dynamics. I had B8’s on my n55 with Eibach springs and I loved it! If not, then I may have to look into the KW’s as a direct pnp.

I called Bilstein USA to learn more about availability of B16 DampTronic coilovers for F36 vehicles. Nothing yet.

The Bilstein site in Germany shows B16 Damptronic status "in preparation". Perhaps soon?

Yes, all that is very good. They also announced the B16 Damptronic p'n'p almost two years ago, but in their online catalog it still appears as not available ...
