Try take a water hose with a semi strong jet and flush out the pads. I do this when mine squeal and it clears it for a while and repeat it when it comes back or when I wash my car. Hope it works for you as it does for me.

The only squeal I got from OEM pads was towards end of life, when the lip on the rotors started rubbing the pads. OEM pads do not cover the full face of the rotor and so they leave a small lip on the outside and inside edge of the rotor. That rubs against the pads and makes a squeal. Replacing the pads and rotors solves this issue. This issue is not exclusive to BMW's. Mercs have this issue too.

I tried washing them yesterday, and they still squeal. It's only during light petal application. They only have 6000km on them, so they are pretty much "new" still.
I had Brembo pads on my E90 335. Anyone know ceramic pads that fit the m-sport calipers. I'm willing to waste the cash to loose the dust and the squeal.... |

My rears squeak like hell too (OEM pads from M-Sport), while front M3 pads are silent and great.
As M3 rears cost $180, which is way too much for the rear, I've ordered a set of Girling for $45 (another brand next to TRW, owned by Lucas). Hope it helps.

Bought a set of rear textar pads for my f32 with blue m brake. Applied prematex disc brake quiet and clean up rotors. No noise afterwards! Hope it doesn't come back

Are you able to provide a picture of your brake rotor surface? are you aggressive/erratic with your brake application? what sort of mileage you have on your pads? that squeaking definitely sounds like something in between the contact of the rotor to pad.. at this point, i would recommend taking your brakes apart by a good mechanic who will ensure they are put on properly and make sure you give it a good clean with everything taken apart. once you put the brakes back together, a little bit of smooth, linear brake application should help stop the sound. you can also experiment with different pads if its driving you crazy.
(very common these days to have mechanics put brakes on wrong and cause sounds/uneven wear) |

I had the same issue as well before. it started to happen occasionally and it sounded low at the beginning but then it got worse as the time passed. I took it to the dealer and they told me that it's coming from the differential dust cap as it rotates freely on the axle causing this squeaking. I couldn't believe that at the beginning as I could swear that it was the rear brakes. Anyways, they changed those caps and did brake cleaning as well and never had this problem again for the last two weeks since I took the car back.
