Visiting Lamborghini / Aston dealers in Bristol

Sadly not research for my next car, but I have a 10 year old who is quite in to this sort of thing and who found a collection of dealers on Google Earth when he knew we were going to spend a few days in Bristol.

Realistically I am never going to buy a supercar - I'm not sure that I would even want to own one, but anyone know how these dealers (particularly those in Bristol) react to visits with no prospect of a sale? I imagine that they wouldn't be too keen. Are any of them more relaxed about this sort of thing than others?

I'm in South Kensington every week and often pop into the lambo dealer there for a browse. They're completely chilled about it. I'd be surprised if having your lad with you would make any difference

A few years ago viewing used to be by appointment only at that place.

In 2008 I went with a friend of mine who wanted a LP560-4.

He ended up buying it from Lamborghini Edinburgh in the end.
Lets just say even with an appointment, Lamborghini Kensington were not exactly welcoming.

It may well still be, tbh
I've popped in maybe 3-4 times in the past 4 years during the week when the place has been empty. They've always let me in

Thanks for the responses. I imagine I may be taken a little less seriously with a young boy in tow, but if we have time to get there, we'll give it a go. Perhaps I should replace my car with an M5 first to add to my credibility

Cheers

I have friend who takes his son to redlineracing a big supercar dealer near Harrogate quite a bit, they let him sit in the lambos and have a chat etc...so they are OK with it.

He does turn up in a 991.2 GT3 mind! Thinking back we used to go to Porsche dealers and posh dealers like Bramley when we were young men 18-20 years old and have a mooch around, we just used to ask if it was OK no one ever said no.

I think going to somewhere like redline helps as they have £1 million cars and 30k cars and everything in between, last time I was at my local OPC I sat in everything I could a 400k 911 R, 275k GT3 RS etc....no one bothered me, until I went over the to the 918, that's locked sir!

Just popped into the Lamborghini dealership in South Kensington. As previously stated, you don't need an appointment to browse. If you want to guarantee the attention of a sales exec, however, they recommend that you book. They also close the showroom, which is very small, for car handovers.
All perfectly friendly

I imagine their response will be dictated largely by how they perceive you as a potential customer, so you need to find a way of subtly showing them that you could be interested in purchasing and have the means to do so.

What watch do wear?

If you're friendly and ask if they mind my experience is these garages are fine, you don't have to pretend you can afford one.

Dressed in unsmart casual, with nothing special on my wrist. I guess it must have been my air of good breeding and refinement which got me in

There's a dream shopping trip a few minutes drive from where I live - proper Lottery-winners row :

Lambo
Bentley
McLaren
Aston Martin
Porsche

All within 1/2 mile. Maybe one day

Rybrook have a McLaren/lambo/Bentley dealership and Aston is one minute away. As is dick Lovett bmw if they turf you out.

Think you will be fine in our great city.
